Have you seen my childhood...

The other day, I was singing (trying to sing is the best way to put it) "Childhood" by Michael Jackson to Neil and today while driving down to office I get to hear of MJ's death :(

He was a big impression while growing up and in some ways I was pained with his downfall, all the bad publicity, rumors about his humongous debts and the constant criticism that he was surrounded by for close to 10-15 years.

I remember when he was going to perform in Mumbai years back, I so wanted to somehow end up to watch the show and had harboured desires of actually seeing him perform some day. Hmm, not meant to be.

Hmmm, kinda sad to post back-to-back RIP blogs. But R.I.P the one and only, the absolute "King of Pop"...

CHILDHOOD
---------------
Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for the world that I
Come from
'Cause I've been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart...
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities...
'Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me...
People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate, for the
Childhood
I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates and adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things,
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I've had

Have you seen my Childhood.

The 'In memoriam' is a rather 'echoed by all' sentiment. Thanx for saying it on all our behalfs.
